A few nights ago I had a dream of living near a burnt out, derelict tower, like the Grenfell Tower. I was living in a house nearby and everyone in the area was being evacuated as the tower was beginning to collapse. I was running round looking for friends who didn't know about the evacuation to try and save them.

The significance of the number 22 to me, started about 20 years ago when a friend of mine told me that when he first became mentally unwell he was waiting to be seen by a psychiatrist, when a voice said 'remember 22'. This was a totally abstract and random thing. But when he told me I was quite suggestible, and open to taking meaning from just about anything from anywhere. The number 22, along with many other numbers became signs of things. I took the number 22 to signify that something good was going to happen and for years when dates like 22.02.YYYY came round I would get quite unwell waiting for something to happen - often something good, but also bad. I got out of this habit a few years back, because my illness shifts around its emphasis on different things for different times. However, the Manchester Bombing changed that for a short time. To anyone who has seen the 1983 classic gangster film Scarface, he was a very dark character, but as anti-hero we willed him on to win his battles with other gangsters. Even at the end when he was surrounded by armed men and he comes out of his office with a large assault rifle, we still wanted him to survive, despite the fact that he was evil. Mario Puzo’s Godfather was another example of a set of anti-hero’s without an ounce of decency or normality. And yet we want them to be the most violent and come out on top in their wars with rivals. The Talented Mr Ripley was also a dark character filed with jealousy and unable to relate to people; to fit in to the point that he kills his good friend rather than be expelled from the group of friends he’d got used to. What is it about anti-hero’s which sees us rooting for a character we would not want around us in real life? We invest in characters when we read novels. We invest time and energy into following their lives and end longing to ...

I had a vision this morning (31st Dec 2016) of Donald Trump at the Whitehouse Podium completely losing his cool. He was shouting and insulting someone who had annoyed him. He was spitting as he spoke, and jamming his finger into the side of his head, whilst saying that his opponent was mad in challenging him or doing/saying whatever it was that they had done. It was unclear, but I think it was a foreign head of state that he was insulting, possibly Putin. Sometimes I have dreams that seem like a precognitive dream, but aren't. One such dream is that I was in the White House during the celebrations with Hilary Clinton, as she becomes President. I sat next to her with members of the press and some of her advisers. I was trying to talk to her, but I was interrupted. But I also seemed to whisper something to her. I don't remember what. I was then in the garden smoking with some of the kitchen staff, when some members of my family joined me and then we went into a dining hall and sat down to eat fried chicken and coleslaw on a buffet table. I had a different experience with Trump however. As I have written in an earlier post, I had a vision way back in the mid-nineties, of Trumps face and a voice saying 'this is the enemy'. I am 60-70% sure that the face I saw was Trump, as he was back then. This would imply that he wins the Presidency and goes on to create trouble which leads to an apocalyptic event, maybe a war or some ot...

A lot of people and cultures have predicted the end of time. It could be the end of the life giving properties of planet Earth, via some catastrophe or series of catastrophe's. Or it could be the end of human life and the beginning of another kind of life. Or could be some apocalyptic end of the universe where the universe as we know it ceases to exist. No-one knows how far along we are on this time-line. There are three types of time, when we talk about the end of time. The end of our time and the end of the human species, where we have created the conditions of a large catastrophe, by destroying the life supporting mechanisms of the Earth and we are unable to survive in some space craft or by colonising a different planet. That time-line is thin. We have been around for roughly 100,000 years, with only ten thousand years of intelligent life, where we developed culture, agriculture, money, democracy etc. Then there is the time-line of planet Earth of roughly four billion year...

I have always dreamt about the demise of the leader of North Korea, whether it was Kin Jong-un or his father. This afternoon, I dreamt of Kim Jong-un, being flung around a large wide industrial canal. The canal was serene and quiet, with no ships and a large bridge across it with no traffic on it. Kim Jong-un was being thrown around within the canal, both into the water and across it by an unseen force. It then showed a God-like figure riding along a path on the back of a stag and on each side were rows of reindeer who would lie down one by one in unison on either side, as this God-like figure passed.
